Homeschool students are welcome to join us for a beginner class in sewing! THIS IS THE SECOND CLASS IN THE HOMESCHOOL SERIES. No sewing experience is needed, you just need to be at least 8 years old. In fact, you don't even need a sewing machine. I have several rentals that cost $10 per class. If you decide to buy a machine from me, the rental applies to your purchase. There is a series of 3 SEPARATE classes which builds the student's confidence and sewing skills to include cutting a straight line as well as being able to sew a consistently straight seam allowance. These classes are recommended prior to the student taking a "Learn to Sew" class (offered separately). In the first class, we construct a small draw string bag . During the second and third class, we construct a stuffed pillow and finally a pillow case. When: The homeschool type classes are offered on the third Thursday of each month. The class runs from 10:30 to 1 PM. Cost: Each class is $35 and includes all the supplies as well as use of the tools needed to construct the projects. Please register for each class separately. If you have a machine, be sure to ALWAYS bring the foot pedal and owners manual as well as the machine! You won't be able to participate without all 3 items.
