DEDHAM, MA — Police are investigating the death of an emaciated dog that was left outside the Animal Rescue League in Dedham. The male, pit bull-type dog was found by an ARL on Oct. 25. A necropsy determined the dog was severely malnourished. Surveillance footage from Oct. 23 showed an SUV-type vehicle with two people inside entering the ARL property and dumping the dog on the walkway. Police believe the vehicle is a Nissan Rogue. After months of investigation, police and the ARL are asking the public for tips. A press conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday. Anyone with information is asked to contact ARL Law Enforcement at 617-470-4266 x110 or email [email protected], or Dedham Police Detective Kevin Mahoney at 781-751-9301 or email [email protected].
