ALBUQUERQUE, NM — New Mexico's statewide indoor mask mandate was lifted Thursday amid declining COVID-19 hospitalizations, according to reports. Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham made the surprise announcement at a news conference Thursday, The Associated Press reported. The governor reinstated the state's mask mandate in August, citing languishing vaccination rates and a rise in cases. The governor said the decision also applies to public schools. "Those are personal decisions that families will make," Lujan Grisham said.
