Press release from the San Antonio ISD: 02/16/2022 Feb. 16, 2022 WHAT:      4th- and 5th-graders tapped for their ideas of what amenities make up the ideal learning environment    Children's workshop with architects to gather students' vision of improvements and renovations for Collins Garden Elementary School for upcoming Bond 2020 Project     WHO:        Michael La Nasa, Senior Associate, Kirksey Architecture  Cynthia De La Garza, Principal, Collins Garden Elementary School  Willie T. Burroughs, SAISD Chief Operations Officer    WHEN:      Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, from 1-3 p.m.    WHERE:    SAISD Collins Garden Elementary School  167 Harriman Place, San Antonio, TX 78204  SAISD representatives and architects from Kirksey Architecture will host a children's workshop at Collins Garden Elementary School to gather input from 4th- and 5th-grade students on upcoming Bond 2020 improvements at their campus.  Students will engage directly with designers to share their perspectives on what learning environments should look like and what amenities are most important to them. The intent of this hands-on workshop is to provide activities during which students can share their ideas and vision for their school.  SAISD continues to gather feedback and ideas from the community with various workshops with students, teachers, parents, and neighborhood stakeholders for the 36 campus improvement and renovation projects planned for the 2020 Bond Program.  Community members can send questions and comments about the 2020 Bond Program to [email protected].  This press release was produced by San Antonio ISD.
