Here are the top three stories in Round Rock today: Four Republicans are running in Texas House District 52 for an open seat after Democratic incumbent James Talarico, suddenly facing longer odds for reelection, decided to move to a nearby district in blue Travis County and run there. Though lawmakers in the fall largely shifted district lines to favor incumbents, House District 52 now includes the more rural and conservative eastern half of Williamson County, was one of a few exceptions. (Austin American-Statesman)A Houston 10-year-old boy, Devarjaye "DJ" Daniel, has been sworn in by over 100 law enforcement agencies as he battles terminal cancer. On February 16, DJ was sworn in by the Round Rock Police Department, just a few days prior to being sworn in as an honorary officer with the Aldine ISD Police Department. As of Feb. 17, he's hit 180 agencies as he continues to raise awareness of childhood cancer. Flix recently bought a robot from Richtech and named it Brewster after the on-site brewery. The robot is the latest food runner at Flix, where they offer a full menu for those who want to eat while they enjoy a movie. Brewster's job is to make sure that food gets to you.
