I am an Independent Recruiter seeking a general laborer for one of my clients in the Railroad Industry. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door.
$15 to $18 per hour DOE
Local Labor or Per Diem Offered (Depending on Distance)
Responsibilities could include but are not limited to:
● Wire Installation on locomotives- Assisting electricians
● Spotting equipment for operators
● Maintaining an accurate inventory of all materials
● Quality control for the scope of work
● Maintain tools used for installation in proper working condition
● Follow safety policies and procedures
● General cleanup of materials and debris
QUALIFICATIONS:
● 1 year of Mechanical or Electrical experience
● Railroad Experience is preferred but not required.
● Some knowledge of proper use of tools, materials, and supplies used on commercial projects
● Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
● Work requires exposure to construction site environments having extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, hazardous substances, and loud noise levels
● The position requires the individual to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, crawl and work in awkward positions or confined spaces throughout the day
● The position requires the unrestricted use of hands, arms, shoulders, upper/lower back, visual acuity, depth, and color perception
● Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
● Minimum age 18
● Provide personal transportation to and from the Jobsite
● Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
● Must be fluent in English
● Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
● Must have a valid driver's license
● Must be able to pass a background check
● Must be willing to travel to be considered for permanent employment.
