HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A 24-year-old Union City woman was charged Wednesday with endangering the welfare of a child because of injuries suffered by a 2-year-old girl while in her care, prosecutors said Thursday. Raquel Bravo was charged with one count of second degree endangering the welfare of a child, the prosecutor's office said. Bravo was arrested on Wednesday by members of the Special Victims Unit at her Union City home and brought to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending her first court appearance. Prosecutors said they were notified of an incident in which the 2-year-old girl had been injured, and began investigating. "An investigation by the Special Victims Unit determined the child suffered injuries to her back and thigh in Union City while under the care of her babysitter," prosecutors said.
