BEIJING — In a rematch of the 2018 gold medal game, the U.S. Olympic women's ice hockey team squares off with Canada, in a contest scheduled for Thursday in Beijing and airing at 10:10 p.m. CT Wednesday. The game will air live on NBC. Northbrook native Jesse Compher, a graduate of Glenbrook North, is one of five Chicagoland residents playing for the U.S. team. RELATED: Northbrook's Compher Notches Assist In Olympics Debut The U.S. team has only one loss during these Olympics, a 4-2 defeat to Canada on Feb. 7 in the preliminary round. Compher, a first-time Olympian, is joined in Beijing by local hockey players Kendall Coyne Schofield, of Palos Heights, Savannah Harmon, of Downers Grove, Abbey Murphy, of Evergreen Park and Megan Bozek, of Buffalo Grove. Harmon and Murphy are also first-time Olympians. Compher, who plays forward, is listed at 5-foot-8 inches, 150 pounds on the official team roster. She played collegiate hockey at Boston University.
