LA GRANGE, IL — One out of every 1,000 students at Lyons Township High School had the coronavirus as of late last week, according to a school report. As of last Thursday, the school reported four cases among students, down from 16 the previous week. The current number works out to 0.1 percent of students. A month ago, the school had 60 cases among students. Hinsdale High School District 86 is also at 0.1 percent among students, while York High School in Elmhurst is at 0.3 percent. The number of coronavirus cases among Lyons Township High School employees stayed the same at two as of Thursday. That amounts to 0.3 percent of the school's staff of 580. The mask mandate remains at Lyons Township High School. It was not among the nearly 150 school districts that are defendants in a lawsuit over the statewide mandate. Two weeks ago, a judge issued an order temporarily suspending the requirement for those districts.
