CHARLOTTE, NC — A verified GoFundMe has been created to assist the family of a woman hit and killed while walking on the side of the road in Charlotte this week. A mother of three and an Afghan refugee, 23-year-old Nabila Rasoul was walking with her friend Enedina Fernandez when a drunk driver hit them both, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. "They came to America with nothing to start a new life and had begun a promising future when a careless act changed everything, leaving two toddlers and a baby without a mom. Now, her husband, Ahmad is left to manage a new job and their children with no family in the US to help," the GoFundMe created by Sam Hatcher stated. They now require childcare and other expenses in order to maintain their new life in America. So far, more than $30,000 has been raised. To visit the GoFundMe, click here.
