Person Struck And Killed On I-85 Near Freedom Drive

Description

CHARLOTTE, NC — A person was hit and killed early Thursday at I-85 near Freedom Drive, according to Traffic Team 9. The person was struck around 6 a.m. when state troopers received the call and responded to the scene near the Tuckaseegee bridge on I-85 northbound. That person was declared dead on scene, according to Mecklenburg Emergency Medical Services. The two left lanes of I-85 were blocked while troopers investigated the crash.
