Description
HOOVER, AL — A nationwide STEM education organization has begun operations in Hoover. Engineering For Kids is already in multiple schools, according to the Birmingham Business Journal.
The STEM franchise specializes in bringing science, technology, engineering and math education to students and is currently expanding throughout the country.
Engineering For Kids uses camps, classes, parties, events and online programs to encourage interest in a STEM field early in childhood worldwide.
"For the past seven years, I have been working in career and technical education and workforce development," owner Natalie Coleman said in a release. "The need for skilled professionals in STEM careers is growing faster than most other career fields. I believe that the key to closing the workforce gap is early awareness. Children need to be able to explore these careers at an early age. Engineering For Kids offers them an opportunity to do just that, in a fun, hands-on way."
