OPTI STAFFING GROUP IS HIRING Opening: Project Manager (HVAC & Plumbing) City: Anchorage WHO THEY ARE: This local HVAC and Plumbing is the largest full-service plumbing and mechanical services contractor in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley. Having been open for over 30 years, they take pride on their long-standing reputation in Alaska. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team. The Project Manager is a professional in the field of construction, with the authority, accountability and responsibility for managing project operations to achieve targeted progress and performance objectives. WHAT YOU’LL DO: • Monitoring overall job performance by tracking labor and materials costs timely and adjusting schedules and performance as necessary to achieve budgeted goals. • Dentifying and noting changed conditions and proposing strategies for resolving issues and negotiating change orders. • Maintaining, with appropriate supports, correspondence logs and electronic records to ensure contract compliance and payment on work performed. • Submitting, tracking and resolving field requests for information (RFIs) and communicating answers to the field. • Identifying and communicating opportunities for pre-fabrication on the project to the Foreman • Monitoring progress on and coordinating installation of pre-fabricated sections in the field • Ensuring labor costs meet labor targets • Ordering lead items timely to ensure work flow proceeds • Coordinating with Production Support for timely delivery of lead items • Coordinating staffing with the Construction Manager for field construction • Monitoring performance to ensure work is done to contract specifications • Communicating schedules, timelines and other information to sub-contractors • Identifying conflicts and possible resolution to ensure the project is completed within job estimates • Ensure performance of sub-contractors on the project WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU: Salary is DOE Competitive Benefits Package including – Medical, Dental, Vision Vacation PTO Retirement And More WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE: • Planning and scheduling tasks to meet deadlines • Documenting project communications and operations • Attention to detail • Negotiate beneficial outcomes between internal and/or external team members • Basic knowledge of office administration tools • Organizing and planning work processes to achieve efficiencies • Reading and comprehending technical documentation • Communicating correspondence requirements clearly using notes and diagrams as necessary • Delegating tasks and monitoring performance of team members • Adapting to changing work priorities and deadlines • Solving problems and completing assignments independently • Participate as a productive and cooperative member of the team NEXT STEPS: Just hit the “Apply” button above and you’re half-way home!
