Grilled Cheese Sandwich and a Garden Salad.
I'll toast slices of Sourdough, then spread unsalted butter on both sides while it melts3 thin slices of Smoky Cheddar Cheese. ( I wouldn't use velveeta in a mouse trap ).
Then they go on a flat griddle, under the sandwich press I use on Reubens.
Flipping them until the cheese runs down the sides.The toasted bread melts in your mouth.A simple green salad with crumbles of Bleu Cheese, Croutons ("crout" en francais = "crust" ) and Creamy Ranch Dressing.Freshly ground black pepper and a chilled salad fork.
A Frosty stemmed glass of sweet Chablis.
The perfect dinner on the last Feb. storm.
Food Always tastes better when someone else makes it.
