IREDELL COUNTY, NC — While absentee voting has been underway for a month in North Carolina, in-person early voting is set to soon begin in Iredell County. One Stop early voting begins Thursday, Oct. 15 and runs through Saturday, Oct. 31. Here's what you need to know in order to cast your vote. Find Your Polling PlaceVoters may check their registration status, see sample ballots and find their election day polling place through the North Carolina State Board of Elections site, found here. Registered voters who do not vote through absentee or early ballots must vote at their assigned polling place, according to the Iredell County Board of Elections. Iredell County One-Stop Early Voting sites will be located at: Board of Elections, 203 Stockton Street, Statesville War Memorial, 220 N. Maple Street, Mooresville Peninsula Baptist Church, 687 Brawley School Road, Mooresville Mt. Mourne IB School, 1431 Meckleburg Hwy., Mooresville Troutman Baptist Church, 305 Perry Road, Troutman Harmony/North Iredell American Legion Post #113, 3085 Harmony Hwy., Harmony Hours for one-stop early voting may be found here. Voters will also be able to register and vote at the same time during One-Stop early voting scheduled at the six polling sites around the county. Mail-In BallotsVoters who intend to vote by mail and need to register must do so by Friday, October 9, ICBE said. County election officials began mailing out absentee ballots for the general election on Friday, Sept. 4, and will continue to do so through Oct. 27. The last day to return an absentee ballot is Tuesday, Nov. 3. How To Request A Mail-In Ballot Forms requesting a mail-in ballot are available online. Forms must be signed by the voter and may be returned by the voter, a near relative of the voter or a verifiable legal guardian.
