MOORESVILLE, NC — Today is the long awaited 2020 General Election and Iredell County voters can prepare by checking voter registration status, polling locations, voting hours and more. Confused about where to go to cast your ballot, or even what local races are on it? Patch has you covered. Below are details you need to know to prepare for Election Day. Election Day voting begins at 6:30 a.m. in North Carolina. While polls officially close at 7:30 p.m., any voter in line at that time will be allowed to cast their ballot. Tuesday, Nov. 3 is also the last day to return an absentee mail-in ballot.
