Cat Grooming Assistant Wanted We are an animal care team that focuses on cats. We have been in business for nearly 15 years. Pay / Benefits: $18 - $20 per hour and includes medical insurance, paid sick leave, retirement contributions, and our services are virtually free to you. This is a full-time position. We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and hardworking individual to join our team of devoted cat care professionals. The right individual to join our team is someone that: 1) Loves animals 2) Works well with customers and team members 3) Prides themselves on a job well done 4) Values hard work 5) Wants to learn new skills 6) Is professional The ideal candidate will have experience grooming pets, although eager learners with animal handling experience are encouraged to apply. We work in teams of 2 to 3 to groom cats. A grooming assistant helps the lead groomer to groom cats. A grooming assistant holds and postures cats for the lead groomer. You will learn to hold and posture cats, bathe cats, clip nails, brush teeth, clean ears, express glands, etc. Other duties include: 1) In-person customer service 2) Answering phones, responding to emails and reservations 3) Operating a point-of-sale system 4) Using Apple products 5) Managing client records 6) Cleaning (it’s a cat facility, there is always cleaning to do). 7) Pet care duties include: scooping litters, tidying boarding rooms, feeding, medicating, playing with and photographing cats 8) Must have an Oregon Driver License to provide pet shuttles using our vehicle or yours as needed The right candidate will be able to lift 50lbs and is capable of climbing stairs, sometimes as much as 50 flights in a day (yes, our facilities are multistory).
