IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A Georgia driver now faces numerous charges after he was pulled over for a traffic stop along Interstate 77, Iredell County Sheriff's Office said Monday. The incident occurred Sept. 13 along I-77 North, near mile marker 65. According to ICSO, the driver — who was identified as Justin Giovanni Ross, 28, of Hampton, Georgia — told officers he was en route in the rented Nissan sedan from Atlanta to Brooklyn, New York. "Upon further investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted by the deputies," ICSO said. The sheriff's office said the search yielded MDMA "ecstasy," and four handguns, one of which was reported stolen. "All of the evidence was seized, and Ross was arrested on scene," ICSO said. Ross was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, and was charged with felony possession of MDMA; felony possession of a stolen firearm; misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun; and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. His secured bond was set at $10,000.
