MOORESVILLE, NC — Police aiming to crack down on drivers under the influence set up a DWI Checking Station in Mooresville Tuesday night, netting 14 violations ranging from driving with a revoked license to registration violations and driving while intoxicated.
Officers from Mooresville Police Department, along with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Service's Forensic Test for Alcohol branch, conducted the Nov. 17 checkpoint from 9 p.m. to midnight.
Charges from the Nov. 17 checkpoint included:
Driving while impaired — 1 Diving while license revoked — 1 Expired registration — 2 Expired inspection — 1 Drug charges — 3 Other charges — 6
