We are looking for dependable and self-motivated individuals to join our installation team. We primarily perform residential solar installations. Working as part of an installation crew, this role will provide an opportunity for qualified individuals to install best in class solar PV systems. Many skills and knowledge will be required and acquired in this position. This position is mid-level with ample room to advance. it is essential that you have good coordination, basic knowledge of tools, and Agility and ability to get up on a roof; no fear of heights. A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of solar or electrical installation experience as a ground installer which entails installation of inverters, disconnects, and meter sockets. Extensive knowledge of residential electrical and structural systems, blueprints and spec sheets Hold a valid Driver’s License with a clean record. Reliable attendance required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Review project plans and drawings and confirm all equipment and material needed At all times emphasize the highest level of quality assurance and adherence to safety standards and regulations Communicate effectively and professionally with crew members, clients, vendors and associates Install, inspect, maintain and repair solar panel systems and battery storage systems. Read & comprehend building plans for roof & ground mounted arrays to effectively build systems that are mechanically excellent, of the highest workmanship, aesthetically pleasing, and optimally functional Ability to assess problems and implement solutions during the construction process. Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues Ability to communicate issues and solutions to supervisor. Assemble and install roof and ground mount solar array racking, including properly sealing all roof penetrations, and installing all related mounting equipment etc. Perform all DC electrical work necessary to connect the system to the inverters including proper wire crimping, inverter stringing and installing home runs, low voltage installation, combiner box wiring and wire management. Perform general construction duties including measuring, use of hand tools, roofing, leveling, trenching, concrete and landscaping Ability to apply an in-depth understanding of the performance characteristics of various components of a solar system and how they interrelate to field construction execution Knowledge and application of the best safety practices and proper use of ladders.
