Hi my name is Matt and I am a vocalist with a band (guitar and drums) looking for a bassist. We have live experience having played throughout so cal, and are looking to expand our audience elsewhere. We have recorded music available on all streaming platforms, and are currently writing for our debut LP. Music is our life and passion, and we treat this band like a brotherhood, so it should go without saying, NO TOXIC PEOPLE. Time is of essence, we do not want to waste time as I'm sure you don't as well, so it should go without saying if music isn't your priority, do not even bother as we don't want to waste time. Our style of music is a bit more on the heavier side, but I wouldn't consider it metal as we're continuing to expanding our sound. We have a wide range of influences, too many to name, but the bands we collectively listen to would be Metallica, Misfits, Led Zeppelin, The Buttertones, etc. If you cannot tell, we are serious and we have some requirements that I hope you take with heed before considering to try out: #1 MUSIC MUST BE YOUR LIFE AND PASSION. NOT DOING IT FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS. IF YOU'RE DOING IT FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF BREAKING BIG AND THIS BEING YOUR CASH COW, DO NOT EVEN BOTHER #2 MUST BE EASY TO GET ALONG WITH, COMMON MANNERS, COMMON SENSE OF DECENCY. PLEASE NO DRAMA, NO PETTY BS, NO DIVA SHIT. #3 MUST KNOW HOW TO PLAY YOUR INSTRUMENT WELL, AND IF YOU CAN PLAY OTHER INSTRUMENTS EVEN BETTER. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A VIRTUOSO OR ANY SORT OF TECHNICAL PLAYER, BUT YOU GOT TO HAVE THE STRIVE TO BE A BETTER MUSICIAN EVERYDAY PURELY OUT OF PASSIONS #4 MUST BE AROUND THE AGE OF 18-25. WE ARE IN THAT AGE GAP AND WE HAVE AN IMAGE WE ARE GOING FOR. IT JUST WOULD NOT WORK IF WE HAD SOMEONE OLDER WHO STICKS OUT LIKE A SORE THUMB #5 MUST BE IN GOOD SHAPE AND MAINTAIN AN OVERALL GOOD HYGINE AND PHYSICAL APPEARANCE. LIKE I PREVIOUSLY SAID, WE HAVE AN IMAGE WE ARE GOING FOR. NO, IT DOESN'T INVOLVE COSTUMES, BUT ITS MORE OF A CLASSY, GRITTY SORT OF STYLE. AND AS FOR BEING IN GOOD SHAPE, NO YOU DONT HAVE TO BE JACKED, BUT YOU CANNOT BE OVERWEIGHT AND HAVE A COUNTER PRODUCTIVE LIFESTYLE #6 MUST MAKE THE EFFORT TO REHEARSE AT LEAST 4 DAYS OF THE WEEK, AND HAVE A FORM OF TRANSPORTATION. It may seem ridiculous to have that specific set of requirements, but we have been a band long enough to know what we want and what we're going for. We are not playing on some little kid shit, we need someone to add to our chemistry and make the band an even bigger powerhouse.
