Large dental laboratory in Angier, NC is currently seeking someone to fill our shipping & receiving department positions in a very bust and active work environment. Full-time position 9am to 6pm with 1 hour lunch Monday through Friday Angier Location Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: Receiving cases in and also shipping cases out; data entry Strong organizational skills and time management a must; Heavy lifting is not involved; Ability to learn and then read and comprehend basic dental terminology a must and will be taught as part of our training process; Ability to work independently and with others and Maintain a clean work environment. We are looking for someone long term and very team oriented. Ability to juggle multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a focus to details is required. Positive attitude and extreme attention to detail a must. Shipping and Receiving Job description includes but is not limited to: Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area. Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables. Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately. Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude. Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments. Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock Receiving, stocking, and stacking Pulling, packing, and loading Good written and verbal communication skills Strong sense of time organization and urgency Able to work independently and within a team Shipping and receiving jobs are very active where individuals must frequently lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more. At times the employee will have to climb, crawl, crouch, stoop, kneel, bend, walk, or stand all day. These activities are physically demanding and require individuals to hear, communicate, and always see appropriately. Specific vision requirements demanded on the job include the ability to adjust focus, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
