**SIGN-ON BONUS** The successful candidate will receive a $750.00 sign-on bonus ($500 paid at time of hire and $250 paid at the end of the academic year.) Competitive pay starting at $15 per hour based on experience. The Academy offers a generous benefits package including health, dental, retirement, and paid time off. Deerfield Academy is seeking Custodians to work in our Academic buildings. Hours for this position is Monday – Thursday- 10:30am- 7:00pm and Sunday 8:00am- 4:30pm. Interested candidates must be willing to work overtime and occasionally on Fridays or Saturdays. Responsibilities include: cleaning and general maintenance of our Academic buildings, cleaning restrooms; vacuuming; mopping; trash, recycling, and compost removal; snow and/or debris removal from entry ways and around building to ensure safe foot passage; and to assist with function and event setups, and campus moves, as required. The successful candidate will have completed 12th grade or equivalent; have 3 – 12 months of Custodial experience, or a related field; ability to read and write and take oral and written instructions; ability to pay close attention to detail; ability to work as part of a team or individually; and have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
