SUMMARY: Under close supervision performs routine cellar jobs. The estimated time frame for this position is August 8th through October 28th. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for performing a variety of cellar operations including but not limited to: • Cleaning • Grape receiving activities • Wine/must movements • Additions to wines/musts • Cap management practices (manual and pneumatic) • Fermentation monitoring • Barrel activities (cleaning/filling) • Equipment and tank sanitation • Field sampling • Wine sampling • Other tasks as necessary QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: • Must have a positive attitude • Must be reliable, on-time, and engaged • The ability to work both independently and in a group • Ability to understand and comply with all safety requirements • Ability to perform the physical labor necessary • Effective verbal communication skills • Good reading, writing, and basic math skills • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. • Ability to work in various temperatures • Valid Driver's License and clean DMV record required About Us The Duckhorn Portfolio is North America’s premier luxury wine company, with ten renowned wineries, eight state-of-the-art winemaking facilities, seven beautiful tasting rooms and more than 800 coveted acres of vineyards spanning 22 sustainably farmed Estate properties.
