Day and Zimmermann is now hiring for the ice condenser project during the refueling outage at D.C. Cook nuclear power plant. This is a temporary job with an expected duration from 3/21/22 to 5/08/22. We are hiring dozens of workers. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Minimum Requirements: At least 18 years old High school diploma or GED. Drug and Alcohol testing, including drugs that are decriminalized at the state level but still illegal at the federal level, such as marijuana. background check The ability to climb stairs, to get to our job site requires walking up 50' of stairs. Ability to lift 40 pounds repeatedly. This is a moderately physically demanding job and requires moving equipment that weighs up to 40 pounds as well as walking up many flights of stairs. pass all provided training: To work at D.C. Cook or any other nuclear power plant candidates must pass all required training courses. About the Job: This is a temporary general labor position at D.C. Cook. This is in an industrial work environment and work will be in cold temperatures. Our project is the best way to get your foot in the door in the nuclear power industry. Compensation: Starting pay is $20 per hour. After training which is typically 10 hours per day for 4 to 6 days we typically work a 6 days a week 10 hours per day schedule for the duration of the refueling outage. We have a daily Per Diem (taxed) for local workers of $25 per day. Non local workers who qualify will receive $110 a day non taxed Per Diem. Pay rates increase over time.
