Groundsman I - Full-time $16 - $19 / hour Tree Climber - Full-time $18 - $22 / hour Supervisory Responsibilities: · None. Reports to: · Lead Foreman. Duties/Responsibilities: · Properly maintain a work site with organization, creating a drop zone, keeping material on the ground to a minimal, aware of pedestrians and vehicles, being aware of any hazards, communication, and being a team player. · Loads and unloads trucks with logs, brush, and debris often weighing 25 lbs. or more, feeds brush into chipper. · Safe and efficient operation with a chainsaw (always wearing chaps when cutting on the ground), also know how to sharpen and change the chain. · Keep trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion. · Report the need for repairs to crew leader. · General knowledge of rigging and lowering material. · Safe and efficient with chipper operations. Knowing the function of the machine and being able to properly and safely use the winch line in the correct situation. · Basic knowledge on proper pruning technique and how to perform pruning cuts. · Ability to fuel and grease all equipment properly. · Basic problem-solving skills for worksite. · Ability to work safely and efficiently with any crew. · Realize safety is and will always be Priority #1 on any jobsite. · Basic maintenance on all equipment (example: grease all equipment used for daily task, basic chainsaw maintenance, making sure trailers are plugged in, etc.) Required Skills/Abilities: · Excellent communication skills including active listening. · Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Knowledge of, or ability to learn, product, service, or area of customer service specialization. Education and Experience: · Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent · Preferred: prior work experience in setting · Required: prior tree experience Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: · Working environment: Outside · Exposures encountered: Low to loud noise, sometimes repetitive or constant · Prolonged periods of: bending, squatting, climbing, walking · Physical effort: lifting up to 55 pounds · Travel required: none Hours and Status: · Full Time Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. · Classification: non-exempt / hourly employee. Pay is based upon experience.
