It is about building a community where everyone thrives. The Position: We’re looking for a Delivery Driver located in our Portland, OR market. The pay we are offering is between $22 and $23 an hour. Candidate must pass a Drug/Alcohol Test and Criminal Background Check. Employee will eligible for a $1000 signing bonus. Employee must be in good standing to receive the bonus. Basic Function: To complete assigned deliveries and pick- up of merchandise and assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities. This includes driving a 22-26 foot box truck and installing furniture for customers in a timely and courteous manner. Responsibilities: Operate company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner. Safely pick up merchandise from warehouse/ vendors/ customers. Deliver merchandise to customer in a timely manner. Ensure delivery of appropriate merchandise in accordance with customer invoices. Ensure delivery vehicles are clean and in good working condition. Ensure customer messages/ communications are relayed to appropriate management. Assist in maintaining a neat and clean workplace at all times. Assist with stocking the shipping and receiving department to include lifting and carrying cartons and placing them on appropriate shelves. Fill delivery orders by obtaining the required merchandise and completing appropriate paperwork. Qualification/Skills Excellent customer service required. Strong knowledge of handling furniture safely and correctly Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. Valid Driver’s license- must meet insurance underwriting requirements. Clean Motor vehicle report. Must pass DOT physical. One year commercial driving experience in 22-26 foot Straight Trucks, no CDL required We offer the following benefits: Excellent Medical, Dental and Vision benefits.
