Part-time delivery driver for small welding supply in Toms River, NJ. This job involves delivering compressed gas cylinders to customers in the Ocean/Monmouth County area of New Jersey. You will be provided a company owned pickup truck to use for deliveries. A company-use-only cell phone. When there are no deliveries to be done, you will assist with walk in customer service and answer the phone. You will be educated about some basic welding procedures, what gases to use for specific metals, identification of different welding gases, compressed gas bottle sizes, what welding consumables and parts customers may need. -No CDL required -21 years or older -Work days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8 AM-430 PM -Compensation starting at $18/hr, may be higher with work history, experience and skill set. Must have: -Clean Driving Record -Clean Criminal background -Ability to use a GPS navigation unit -Basic customer service skills -Good communication skills -Adequate reading & writing skills Must be willing to: -Load/unload up to, but not limited to 100lbs of product/compressed gas cylinders in to the back of a company provided pickup truck. -Complete a HAZMAT certification online class (provided by company) -Follow all traffics laws and posted speed limits -Practice safe lifting techniques -Be punctual, show up ready to work at start of every business day -Use company provided cell phone when needed -Organize route for time & gas efficiency -Perform basic truck maintenance -Identify different compressed gas cylinder sizes -Identify specific compressed gases -Use basic tools when and if needed -Fill out and complete all applicable paperwork -Use a delivery hand truck when required -Test and gauge cylinders to ensure they are full prior to delivery
