Job description The Builder Supply Group is a local supplier of building finishes that focuses on finding, sourcing and offering high-quality building materials at lower costs. Our organization is seeking a dedicated and organized Warehouse and Delivery Associate who will be responsible for: 1) Coordinating and executing the receipt, inspection, warehousing, and delivery of products to and from our local Austin warehouse. 2) Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse to maximize efficient space utilization, safety, and product integrity. 3) Providing support to other administrative areas through delivery of goods, inventory management and accurate documentation. 4) Operating a forklift to move materials within, to, and from the warehouse will be required in order to manage incoming and exiting deliveries. 5) Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of our lawn, as well as outdoor areas and indoor areas within our building. For this position, you must: · Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. · Have an upbeat attitude and solid work ethic. · Be legally authorized to work in the United States. · Be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. · Be able to operate material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.). · Be forklift certified or able to become forklift certified within 2 weeks of employment. · Able to communicate effectively via email and telephone. · Have a high school diploma or GED certification. · Additional preferred qualifications include: · Prior warehouse, customer service, or retail experience. · Strong organizational skills and sound knowledge of the elements of warehouse management. · Good written and verbal English language communication skills.
