INSTEAD HE TOOK IN $1.1 MILLION DOLLARS IN CAMPAIGN DONATIONS FROM GENDER MODIFICATION SURGICAL CLINICS. Dan Patrick let legislation die that would have protected Texas children from the barbaric practice of gender modification surgeries and therapies. This was done for the favor of clinics that perform these services and have donated over $1 million dollars to his campaigns over the years. FIRE HIM. Texans for Lawsuit Reform (TLR) is one of the richest and most powerful PACs in Texas. In their most recent dastardly advocacy they opposed bills that would have banned child gender sex surgery and vaxx mandates in Texas. Dan Patrick did they bidding. FIRE HIM. According to his financial disclosure statements filed with the Texas Ethics Commission, as that legislation was being allowed to die, Dan Patrick owned Pfizer stock – a major manufacturer of a Covid vaccine. As the legislation failed, Pfizer stock continued to make all-time historical highs and Dan Patrick reaped a 100% capital gain. For every person that gets the jab, Dan Patrick goes to the bank! Governor, Dan Patrick criticized his predecessor David Dewhurst for appointing Democrats to senate committee chairmanships. Immediately after being sworn, Dan Patrick appointed Democrats to committee chairmanships and has done so in the four sessions he’s been the President of the Texas Senate. FIRE HIM. DAN PATRICK LET TEXANS FREEZE TO DEATH In 2021 over 100 Texans died from frigid temperatures because the Texas power grid crashed. Since 2015, Texas State Senator Bob Hall has filed legislation to both harden and winterize the Texas grid. None of those bills ever came to floor of the Texas Senate. Instead Patrick steered legislation through the Texas Senate to rely more on “green energy”. FIRE HIM. DAN PATRICK DID NOT REFORM ERCOT. INSTEAD HE STAFFED IT WITH HIS MEGA DONORS. The new chairman of the ERCOT Selection Committee is a $900,000 campaign donor to Dan Patrick. The new chairman of the ERCOT Board of Directors is a $350,000 campaign donor to Dan Patrick. FIRE HIM. These two bills gave power to teachers to refer students for psychiatric treatment without permission from parents. The legislation also threatened Texas parents with an investigation by Child Protection Services if they attempted to defy the treatment assignment. FIRE HIM. DAN PATRICK’S POOR LEADERSHIP LED TO THE GOP LOSING A SENATE SUPERMAJORITY When Dan Patrick was sworn into office for his first term, the GOP had a supermajority in the Texas Senate. Because of his poor leadership, in subsequent elections the most conservative senators lost bids for re-election, and by 2019 the GOP lost its supermajority and has not regained it.
