Cypress makes a good point. I do not agree, but his opinion is appreciated.
In my experience conservatives/republicans resist green energy for no reason than they believe it represents the liberal agenda. Green energy is NOT a political issue. Green energy is simply the future of power for several reasons.
I think the main point of contention between those who embrace green energy and those who resist it is- Some people see conveying to greener energy solutions as urgent to help combat climate change. Climate deniers do not see the urgency because they do not trust the science on global warming.
It is true that our power grids are not built to accommodate EV's and electric homes. But our grids are being g upgraded by power companies much faster than you think. With hundreds of thousands os photo voltaic solar systems being installed over the last decade and over the next decade, power has become far more localized than ever. Our grid may suffer a failure here and there but the upgrades are occurring already. Power companies recognize the increased demands and see this as a huge opportunity for profit. Just as the oil companies produce more oil to match demand, power companies can and are increasing power to meet the demands. Its basic business to do so.
I say, we cannot go green soon enough. The crazy weather around out globe is a clear indication that we are in a crisis. I would much rather over react, than under react.
