Children's fishing program on Cape Cod is seeking staff for the summer 2022 season. Full and part-time positions available. Our programs run Monday through Thursday each week during the summer. We are seeking individuals for the following staff positions: 1) General summer staff AND 2) A staff member with a background in marine science or outdoor science education. All candidates should be of upstanding character, have positive energy, a good sense of humor, and enjoy working with children. The job is fun and rewarding, but requires hard work, a high level of vigilance and attention to detail with a strong focus on child safety. Fishing experience is not required - if you are intelligent, capable and willing to get your hands dirty, we are happy to teach you! Long days in the sun, patience, and comfort on boats required. A CORI check is required. General responsibilities: Closely supervise children while fishing, help children bait hooks, positive role modeling, engage children in fun activities, provide encouragement to build self-confidence, and ensure kids are safe and having fun! In addition to general staff responsibilities, marine science staff will add a fun, educational component to our sessions. Pay: 1) The general staff rate is $17/hour. 2) Marine Science staff - Approximately $19/hour, depending on your background and education.
