Position: Professional Mover/Helper Position Summary: Duties included, but not limited to, physically moving furniture items, item protection, assembly/disassembly, proper use of all company equipment, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Provides clients with exceptional customer service Follows established guidelines to ensure the safety of staff and clients Ensure all daily vehicle inspections are performed at the start of the work day Complete daily checklists Ensure the trucks have all supplies and materials necessary for the days work Assist in training new hires about the day to day operations and core values Prepares job-site with protective materials upon arrival Ensure items are properly protected according to Tropic Moving standards Follows direct supervisor instructions regarding moving, loading, and unloading of customer inventory Prevent careless and costly mistakes, including damage, injury, unsatisfied clients, lost equipment, etc Check in regularly throughout the day with direct supervisor/office staff for additional assignments and troubleshooting guidance Maintain cleanliness and organization of all company vehicles and equipment Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age Must have transportation to work Must be eligible to work in the United States Must be able to pass a federal background check Minimum of a High school or equivalent diploma preferred Must want to be part of a growing organization and excited about advancement opportunities Other Requirements: Ability to make logistical decisions throughout the workday Ability to work in extreme weather conditions typical of Florida (heat, rain, and cold) and stand/walk for extended periods of time Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, bending, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting and carrying 75 lbs Must be willing and able to work varied and long shifts Must be available to work, if requested, during any and all on-call shifts Job Type: Part-time Pay: $13.00 per hour
