Coleman Environmental Engineering, Inc. is a leading provider of environmental remediation and construction management services to commercial, public, and government sectors. Coleman is currently hiring environmental technician / laborers needed for the length of its contract to assist in the clean up of the Marshall Fire in Boulder County CO Minimum one year of experience as an environmental technician or as a construction laborer. The individual must be capable of physical manual labor using shovels, rakes, and brooms. Position entails working on a crew responsible for performing a variety of directed tasks to remove debris from private properties recently impacted by the Marshall Fire. The individual may be required to switch from one task to another at the direction of the crew leader throughout the day. Candidates must be able to have reliable vehicle to commute to job site(s) daily. As a field technician at Coleman, you will work outdoors in all weather conditions at construction sites in the Boulder, CO area. You will work directly with Project Managers, Supervisors etc. Responsibilities: Area housekeeping to include tasks such as shoveling, using fire hose and consolidation of debris and vegetation for off-haul and processing. Spotting heavy equipment operators and managing onsite traffic. Material lifting/handling Operation of hand/power tools Equipment/facility maintenance Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned according to business need Use of proper personal protective equipment and understanding of field safety practices. Requirements Required Qualifications: 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with valid 8-hour refresher training certificate Ability to work outside with variable hours in inclement weather conditions. Medical clearance and ability to wear a respirator. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Valid State driver's License. Ability to travel to local sites using in personal vehicle. Effective written and verbal communication skills to complete responsibilities. Able to work long days (10+ hrs.) multiple days a week throughout the duration of the project. Desired Qualifications: Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to understand and apply English verbal and written skills to work and safety-related instructions and procedures. Good written and verbal communication skills in English required to understand job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment Focus on overall Safety and commitment to working as a team.
