I wanted to say something to you the moment that we sat next to each other in the terminal that we were traveling out of to come back to NY, but I was in the midst of trying to get my itinerary together. I was on business travel and I had to wrap up my itinerary in a very tight time frame. It wasn’t an easy morning to say the least… After takeoff, I noticed you tried to change seats on our virtually empty plane. I was two rows behind you and I also wanted to move because I wanted a window seat without a neighbor, but after the attendant said for you to wait to change seats, I didn’t want to upset her. I didn’t think much after that until the time came to deplane and I saw you fighting with your bag that was stuck in the overhead. I was happy to help you out with that! When I put the bag down for you I had hoped you would wait up for me as I let those in your row go after you. You were about four people ahead of me as we deplaned and you kept walking, so I just figured you weren’t really interested in waiting for me to come off to walk/talk. But then you slowed down a short while later after we saw each other again when I was walking toward the terminal exit. I admit that I wasn’t sure if you were slowing down for me or just in general… Maybe these were all miscues and I actually had a chance to talk to you at some point, but I am bummed that I didn’t engage in conversation with you when I had the chance. I thought about you on the ride home this afternoon and, while in conversation with a friend, she told me about this “Missed Connections” section of CL. It seemed completely outlandish to me, but at the same time totally worth it as a last resort. Lol. So, if you are out there and somehow miraculously read this, please know that I was interested in talking with you today. It was definitely a rushed morning and I apologize if it seemed like I was not interested. I hope most of all that you made it home safe. Equally hope that you let me make it up to you, and that you write me back to tell me about our flight today (flight #/time, departure city, terminal that we exited, etc.) so I know it’s really you.
