This is an educational program for nursery, OB, and ED nurses, physicians and respiratory therapists who care for sick newborns in community This is an educational program for nursery, OB, and ED nurses, physicians and respiratory therapists who care for sick newborns in community hospitals.The program addresses what follows after the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, emphasizing six important areas of concern: Sugar/Safe Care, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support and Quality Improvement. This mnemonic-based program, developed by Kris Karlsen, PhD, MSN, RNC, NNP, is designed to optimize learning, retention, and recall of information. Important action items for attendees:This course will be taught using the 6th Edition learner manual.Books may be purchased through the STABLE Program website at www.stableprogram.org, or check with your facility for a copy of the book.Your email is necessary in order to send you a pretest that needs to be completed prior to the class.  Please bring the pretest to class with you.FAQsHow can I contact the organizer with any questions?Contact NH AWHONN at [email protected] or by calling Diane Proulx at 603-516-4256.Who are the instructors? Important course information:Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the course capacity is limited to 20 participants. Please do not attend if you feel ill or have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19.Level 3 mask wearing will be required during the program.
