Description
ROSWELL, GA — A CVS Pharmacy in Roswell is among 23 throughout Georgia that will offer drive-thru COVID-19 testing for high-risk groups beginning Friday.
Patients will administer the swab tests themselves in their cars while a CVS employee watches, with results available in three days. Tests will not be administered inside the stores. Those who want to be tested must pre-register at the CVS website, starting Friday.
The CVS Pharmacy location in Roswell that will offer drive-thru testing is at 11710 Alpharetta Highway, Roswell, GA 30076.
CVS Health expects to have up to 1,000 locations across the country offering this service by the end of May, with the goal of processing up to 1.5 million tests per month, subject to availability of supplies and lab capacity. The 23 test sites in Georgia are part of nearly 350 locations across 14 states including Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas.
"Our friends in the private sector continue to play a critical role in our efforts to ramp up COVID-19 testing and ensure access for all Georgians," said Governor Brian Kemp, who announced the partnership Thursday.
