Join Sturtevant’s to learn the basics of keeping your skis and snowboards in excellent condition. As spring approaches, learn how to keep your gear tuned as snow gets dirty and how to prep your gear for the summer, whether for storage or for continued spring skiing! Learn how to do your own tunes or easy steps to keep your gear in shape between shop tunes. -Beginner tools and supplies -Cleaning and prepping your bases -Checking the edges -Scraping, waxing, and filling Arrive early to browse the store and chat with SheJumps friends. Open to all so please share with a friend! All attendees will be entered to win a Custom Tune from the Sturtevant’s shop (value $60), and will receive tune and shop discounts at Sturtevant’s. How to join: Sign up through the Eventbrite link, cost is free with a suggested donation to SheJumps for $10 - 20! The first 10 donors who arrive will receive a certificate for a free ski demo to check out during this season. Sturtevant’s is open 10am – 6pm, and our event check-in will begin at 5:30, with the event starting at 6pm. FAQs: Will the event be indoors or outside? We will host the event indoors, depending on the current COVID regulations. Attendees can alternate between watching the tune demo and checking out the shop. Will I be able to work on my own gear? No, this is a demonstration. Attendees will not be working on their own equipment as we don't have the space. Attendees are welcome to bring their equipment to ask questions or to leave in the shop for a tune. What are the COVID expectations for the event? Please refer to the SheJumps COVID-19 Policy. We expect all attendees to be masked at all times, and when possible maintain physical distance to other attendees and Sturtevant’s staff. As this event is occurring in our Bellevue location and we’ll adhere to King County regulations, attendees must bring proof of vaccination. All participants must agree to the COVID-19 Code of Conduct in addition to the regular SheJumps waiver before attending an event. Everyone who signs up for an activity on the SheJumps website must sign this document in order to successfully complete their sign-up. Will there be time to purchase items from Sturtevant’s? Attendees will be able to make purchases during and after the event." SheJumps is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the participation of women and girls in outdoor activities to foster confidence, leadership, and connection to nature and community through free and low-cost outdoor education. Our vision is to unearth the potential of all women and girls through outdoor play and connection to nature.
