Learn water-wise landscape design through experiential learning to help you develop a high desert landscape for your personal property. Landscape design can be intimidating, especially in high desert climates where water is scarce. This workshop provides a step by step process to help you understand your property, develop a program and function within your landscape, and finally create a landscape plan for your property. This workshop will consist of both in-class learning, hands on design and building activities, as well as out of class assignments to aid you in developing water-wise landscape design solutions for your property. The class will be taught by Utah State University Extension faculty and will be held at the Design Build Bluff Campus thanks to the generous support and partnership with Yestermorrow. At the conclusion of this course students will have an understanding of the landscape design process, techniques for developing water-wise landscape design solutions, and will have created a landscape design for their personal property.
