ABOUT
Paul Ignatius, former Secretary of the Navy (1967-1969) was born in Glendale on November 11, 1920. He attended Hoover High School where he served as the student body president in 1938 and continued his education at USC where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. After serving in the Navy during World War II, Ignatius returned to school to obtain his MBA from Harvard Business School. He would later serve as Assistant Secretary of the United States Army, Under Secretary of the United States Army, assistant secretary of defense, and then secretary of the United States Navy under President Lyndon B. Johnson.
