Chance to see local high end available Architecture & Real Estate while promoting Autism Awareness. The House Tour Map may be picked up on the day of the tour, at a location TBD in Short Hills from 10:30am - 12:30pm.  You will be informed of the location via an Eventbrite email approximately 2 days before the tour.   At that location please find swag bags for the first 50 to arrive at the TBD location in Short Hills.  Also please find wonderful raffle items; for $20 you will get 5 tickets.  Please note that you may be asked to remove your shoes in some of the houses.  It is highly recommended to wear shoes you can slip on & off easily.     Autism affects 1 in 35 children in New Jersey.   What is Autism Spectrum Disorder? "Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or autism is a neurobiological disorder characterized by impairments in social communication and interaction as well as restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior. Individuals with autism have difficulty interacting with others: building relationships, using language, regulating their emotions, and understanding others’ points of view." as stated by Autism NJ. Enjoy an Architectural and Real Estate House Tour which will provide the opportunity for you to tour many available Short Hills, NJ high end properties all in one day.  The tour gives you a chance to get a pulse on local real estate values, while taking in all the creative architectural and design elements inside the homes.  At each house, the participants will be greeted with treats, a light lunch, giveaways and/or prizes. Millburn Township Public School’s Special Services Department will use the proceeds to send numerous staff members to the Autism NJ State Conference and the Autism NJ Transitional Conference.  (Autism Speaks is the official national organization while Autism NJ is the official state organization).  The proceeds will also be utilized to further provide parental and professional development for all district members, at the discretion of the Director of Special Services.  Please feel free to email her at [email protected] to share any ideas you may have for programs and/or speakers.  ALL other inquiries should be directed to Melanie Rosenbaum at [email protected].
