Bordando Nuestras Raíces is giving a special recognition to Northgate Markets and it's founder Don Miguel Gonzalez. Bordando Nuestras Raíces, an organization that promotes art, culture, and education through international commerce, innovation and entrepreneurship is pleased to give special recognition to Northgate Markets and its founder, Don Miguel Gonzalez. Promoting artisans from different states across Mexico, Bordando Nuestras Raíces raises awareness of traditions within their indigenous communities. This honor is meant to highlight the contributions of Northgate Markets and Mr. Gonzalez who stores have provided the surrounding communities with the fresh produce needed to create authentic traditional cooking in their homes. Customers have come to love Northgate González Market foods that made them famous – scratch-made bolillo rolls, freshly made carnitas, fire-roasted split chicken and freshly made corn tortillas – made in house from masa that is still made from stone-ground corn every day.
