An all-day networking, wealth-building and self care event by and for women of Haitian descent. When is the last time a group of us Haitian women in the Carolinas have gotten together to support and uplift and learn from one another in a meaningful way? We think it's about time we do. Women, especially black women, often lag behind our male counterparts in the wealth-building journey. From career advancement to flourishing in self-employment to taking advantage of investment opportunities, the fact is, a large number of us need a boost to help us win. The Fanm Vanyan Conference [pronounced fum vuh-yuh], which translates to "Strong Woman," in Haitian Creole, aims to educate and encourage women to take their careers, wealth and self care to the next level under the theme of "Mastering Self and Wealth." We are committed to the pillars of this event: | Networking & Sisterhood | Wealth-Building & Professional Development | Self-Care & Mental Health Wellness We are calling on the expertise of some of the brightest women, who are vanguards in their areas of expertise, to share invaluable information and resources to help attendees bolster their own success in these areas. And attendees will have the opportunity to support more than a dozen Haitian-owned businesses in the vendor marketplace. There is no onsite parking. You must park in the parking garage across the street (for $1.25 per hour) or any available street parking. Please be mindful that you may have to pay to park on the street. What is the dress code? We're glad you asked! Whatever attire that you think passes for business casual and comfortable. Will there be meal options available for people who do not eat meat? Yes, there will be. Can non-registered people attend the conference? No. You must be registered in advance in order to attend the conference. Will tickets be sold on the day of the conference? No. Advance ticket purchase is required. The registration deadline is March 31, or until all tickets are sold, whichever comes first. How can I be a vendor? We have limited vendor slots. To request to be a vendor, email Marlyne at [email protected] with the Subject Line "Vendor Question." What if I arrive late to check in on the day of the conference? The check-in table will close at 11:15a.m. Please make every effort to arrive on time. When do Early Bird prices end? Early Bird prices end on March 3, at 11:59p.m. The early bird prices for adults are $55 and $35 for youth (ages 14-17). After that time, prices will increase to $75 and $45, respectively.
