Join the city of Winston-Salem Stormwater Division and make your rain barrel using a recycled plastic barrel ! Have you wondered how much rainwater you could collect from the roof of your home? Have you ever wanted to save money watering your garden? By collecting rainwater, you can water your garden, conserve water and reduce stormwater runoff that carries pollutants from hard surfaces into nearby waterways. Join the city of Winston-Salem Stormwater Division and make your rain barrel using a recycled plastic barrel and a few widely available parts. Recycled barrels and another necessary part will be provided, but please bring along screwdriver and either an adjustable wrench or pliers. Limit one barrel per household. Masks are required and participants will be spread out to maintain social distance.
