Celebrating the 21st Anniversary of helping women escape domestic violence! Las Valientes is a group of men and women who have chosen to break the chains and cycle of domestic violence so common in our community. In our 17 years we have been dedicated to assisting men and women of all nationalities but especially immigrant Hispanic women in our community who are victims of domestic violence and/or any form of abuse in their home, and to support them as they make decisions to stop or escape the violence. We seek to work with victims and enable them to escape the violence and abuse in their homes by providing legal advocacy, court accompaniment and resources in the community to meet their many needs and that of their children as they make decisions to end the cycle of violence in their lives. We help them understand the legal system, we hold their hand, interpret for them, and stand by their side through the legal process, whether it is a Restraining Order, a Family Law Matter or a Juvenile Court case, we are there to help them through that process.
