A pride filled night, to celebrate your story! Queer Prom! Saturday, April 2 from 7-midnight in the SMSU Upper Conference Center Queer Prom Code of Conduct -To protect the safety of attendees who may not yet be out in all circumstances, we are requesting some limits on photography. Taking pictures on the dance floor is discouraged. Wristbands will be distributed for those who are okay with their photos being included on social media posts. If someone in a photo you take does not clearly have the wristband of photo consent visible, do not post the photograph. We do not want to put someone into a potentially dangerous situation. -All people attending Prom must show a picture ID when entering the event. -Tickets are only available for those aged 16 to current college student (roughly 25ish age group). No one older than traditional college age will be permitted to enter the dance as a participant. This is for safety and security reasons. Older partners are not permitted at this event. -Wristbands will be distributed based on the age of the participants (one color for high schoolers, one color for college-aged students). Wristbands will also be distributed to chaperones. -All people are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event. -No one will be admitted after 9:30 pm. -All attendees must be picked up or have a mode of transportation at the end of the event at 12 midnight. -All ticket sales are final, no refund will be awarded for unused tickets-Students are expected to dance in a respectable manner. Dancing that is inappropriate, overly sexual in nature, or creates unsafe conditions is not allowed. We reserve the right to make decisions on suitable dancing and individuals who engage in the above-mentioned behaviors will be removed from the dance. -There will be no re-entry. Once you exit the dance, you must leave the premises. -Prohibited items include, but are not limited to flasks, glow in the dark items, sharp objects, perfumes, lighters/matches, water bottles, wallet chains, markers, weapons, canes, suit chains, gum, eye drops, mouthwash, glass bottles, liquid items. -Any guest found in possession of or under the influence or demonstrating inappropriate behavior will forfeit his/her/their evening during Prom, with no refunds.
