If you like making things run smoothly and on time, Endgames might be looking for you. Stage & Front of House Managers at Endgames Improv are the conductors of our symphony. They communicate and stay on top of everything with fingers on the light, sound, and video, close relationships to performers, producers, and audience coming through the front lobby. Shows at Endgames are a team effort, but this role has their hands in everything. Endgames is a community at its heart. We come to entertain and to put in good work, but we also come to be with our friends, have fun, and make something we’re passionate about. Our mission is to put on the best improv comedy in San Francisco, and we think we’re doing pretty good at that. Requirements - Able to work evenings, 3 to 7 hours per shift, at least 1 to 2 shifts per week (Currently Friday and Saturday, with plans to expand to all other days) - Familiarity with improv comedy a bonus - Excited to promote shows and solicit new audience members on the street - Experience with light and sound or theatrical tech not required, but a plus - Ability to multitask on a computer and jump between many software solutions to run the show and venue Responsibilities - Open and prepare one of the Endgames’ theaters for shows - Operate and manage the tech booth, executing basic light, sound, and visual cues from our tech booth—one of the best and most modern in the city - Work with producers and performers to ensure shows begin and end on time - Welcoming, checking in, taking payment from guests - During down time, promote shows to foot traffic, talk to audience of classes and other services - Count down and deposit nightly take from cash payments -Close the theater down at the end of the night, do basic cleaning, and ensure the theater is returned to its original condition About Endgames Improv - Great team: founded by comedians and run by comedians - Welcoming community: hundreds of people ranging from improv hobbyists to those with designs on professional careers in comedy - Tons of events: shows multiple nights a week, and community events all the time - Big dreams: Endgames improv wants to create a place for performers to learn, grow, and experiment in a sustainable and permanent space If you want to join a small and growing team of great people who work hard to entertain San Francisco’s comedy audiences, this is the place to be!
