Fulltime caregiver for autistic teen, $5000/mo + Benefits

Looking for a caregiver for a 14-year-old autistic boy who has minimal speech but communicates through typing. He’s a very bright, affectionate, and active child. Position is a 1:1 aide responsible for supervising and supporting activities of daily living including but not limited to eating, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, toileting, and safety. This position will be responsible for providing quality care with respect for the child’s human dignity. RESPONSIBILITIES • Assists child with activities of daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, personal hygiene • Encourages child to do own activities of daily living (ADLs) when able to. • Drive the child to the park, grocery etc. and maintain safety while in community settings • Ensures the child’s safety while playing in the yard, swimming, or going for a walk • Assists child at mealtime, which may include encouraging the child to eat on his own • Respond appropriately to verbal and nonverbal expressions of needs. • Document accurately on ADL sheet, care provided to the child • Communicates with child to learn feelings, need for assistance or social and emotional support. • Report observations of child behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to parent. • Maintain neatness of child’s room QUALIFICATIONS • Polite, punctual, and diligent • Prior caregiving experience (Preferred) • Prior ABA experience and RBT certification a significant plus • High school or equivalent (Required); undergraduate education in social work, psychology, special education or related field a significant plus • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record (Required) • Covid Vaccination Documentation (Required) • Able to pass a background check (Required) • Excellent communication skills (Required) • Authorized to work in the US (Required) SCHEDULE Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PAY & BENEFITS • $5000/month • Health insurance, Dental insurance and Vision insurance • Two weeks paid vacation
