Almost NO electricity in north America is produced by fossil fuels. This is especially true since coal is no longer used to create power. A very small percentage of electricity in North America is produced by burning natural gas.
The majority of electricity in America is produced by hydro, solar, wind, nuclear and geothermal. Each has isa own drawbacks but ALL are superior to fossil fuels. NONE of these options produce more than a fraction of what combustion engines vehicles produce.
