Seems like someone should do their homework before claiming that renewable and nuclear accounts for nearly all electricity generated in the US. This comes as no surprise since liberals are not noted for truthfulness or intelligence for that matter. I drive by a wind farm almost every week that has been there for about five years. Well over half of them are out of service and sit idle. Their cost/profitably is negative and are only there due to the millions given to them by the taxpayers. Solar panels for homes is another rip off for those who are coned into buying them. If it makes you feel good to say you own an electric car, I don't have a problem at all with it. Good on you, but don't go making claims that are not in line with reality. An elect car would be good for the wife to go to the store, pick up the kids at school, short trips etc. but until they have a battery that will carry you to your destination without a four to six hour stop for a charge, the electric car is nothing more than a novelty. Just like an internal combustion engine driven car, the more of a load you carry, the more stops and starts, hills and accessories you use reduces the travel range. What is claimed is never the real outcome.
